![]() ![]() I have 4 GB of 1066MHz SD3RAM, running a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. I am on a MacBook Pro, Late 2008-Early 2009 version (Unibody), I just recently (about 2 weeks ago) upgraded from Leopard (OS 10.5, which came with my computer when I bought it in March 2009) to Snow Leopard, currently running 10.6.5. Anybody have any ideas what the problem might be? The piano intro (which, if played correctly, has 3 piano tracks) is at the very beginning of the tune. As mentioned, they import fine into GarageBand (and they imported fine into that ancient Windows MIDI program I had). ![]() The other two piano tracks do not import. It is so annoying, the killer piano intro is split into 3 tracks, but only the right hand piano track appears when I import the track into Finale! (I think the other two piano parts are the last 2 MIDI tracks in the 16 track MIDI file). I've opened this years ago on some ancient MIDI program on a Windows Me computer when I was a Windows guy with no problems. It is a MIDI file for Genesis' 1973 classic "Firth of Fifth" (if you are a progressive rock fan, you probably know this tune). I have attached one file in case anyone is interested. However, I have only been getting 12 tracks imported into Finale! Nothing is wrong with the MIDI tracks themselves, I have imported them into GarageBand from iLife '09 and GarageBand plays back all 16 (and in some cases, more) MIDI tracks from these files. Program documentation for PrintMusic 2011 indicates that you can have up to 24 tracks/staves in PrintMusic 2011. Most of them are 16 track MIDI files, some have more than 16 tracks. ![]() I am trying to import MIDI files into Finale PrintMusic 2011 to convert them to sheet music. Sorry if somebody else has asked this question, I searched around and could not find anything really related to this.
